Intro to Journalism
- Read this student editorial: http://westbullseye.com/991/a-e/the-racism-in-the-academy/
- On your blog, write a post titled with today’s date and respond to the following questions:
- What is the author’s thesis? (What is the author’s central argument?)
- What factual evidence does the author use to support her thesis?
- What solutions does she offer?
- Begin brainstorming what topics you would want to do an editorial on. It can be ANYTHING – but it should be something for which you have legitimate passion. The best editorializing comes from topics that are both known and cared for by the author.

- Due: Tuesday, March 7
- ~500-800 words
- Interviewing is recommended, but not required
- Use of factual evidence to support your opinions is a MUST
